From 18 to 22 May, everything in the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia will revolve around the baking industry. Visitors to iba, will find answers to the question of what is currently driving this food sector. One highlight will be the brand new concept with the iba.FOOD TRENDS AREA, where exhibitors will present the latest trends from innovative raw materials and baking ingredients to snack ideas and healthy ingredients.
International and national exhibitors at the trade fair will be demonstrating how the art of baking and confectionery is constantly evolving. Innovative food trends are one of the focal themes of the event in Hall 15. Conscious, mindful eating is a megatrend gluten-free and vegan alternatives as well as high-fibre ingredients are crucial for a conscious lifestyle. New flavours from all over the world are also on the rise. Protein-rich food ingredients and more sustainable ingredients are also important, with a focus on reducing sugar and fat content.
The latest developments will be presented in the brand new iba.FOOD TRENDS AREA, which runs right through Hall 15. National and international exhibitors will showcase their solutions and expertise at individual "island stands". The IREKS Group invites trade fair visitors to explore three major themes: plant-based nutrition as an enrichment of food culture instead of sacrifice, “Food Moments“, which turns baked goods into an experience, and “Tastes of the World“, which is all about producing the diversity of world flavours locally. As a manufacturer of wheat starches and a specialist in protein and starch-based food ingredients, exhibitor Loryma will be presenting its expertise in application-oriented solutions.
In the rapidly evolving baking industry, challenges such as nutritional optimisation, sustainability and consumer demand must be overcome without compromising on taste. Visitors will learn about new flavour trends and chocolate combinations. For example, they will find versatile fruit and cream fillings for all types of baked goods or high-quality, dairy-free whipped cream that is ISO9001, ISO22000 and halal certified. Those who love colourful baked goods or desserts will also find what they are looking for: Toppings with colours of natural origin impress with their tasty chocolate content.
Anyone looking for inspiring ideas on healthy snack alternatives, egg substitutes made from soya, perfect dough moulding or creative solutions for crispiness, trend studies, and innovative food ingredients will find more than enough in Hall 15. Other exhibitors on the topic of food trends include: Puratos, Dawn Foods, Food Colours, Kandy or Interstarch, Pavoni Italia and Soy Austria or Eurogerm and Fine Organics.
There will also be presentations on the iba.STAGE. The highlights of the participating exhibitors of the iba.FOODS TRENDS AREA will be presented here daily from 11 a.m. in short “Exhibitor Sum Ups“.
