The supervisory board of the international confectionery trade association SWEETS GLOBAL NETWORK e. V. has named Joachim Eckert (54) as successor to Hans Strohmaier (65). Eckert will thus take over as Chairman of the Executive Board from 1 January 2024. Hans Strohmaier will retire at the end of 2023 after more than 30 years at the helm of the industry association. Joachim Eckert will initially start as deputy chairman of the association on 1 August 2023. He has many years of experience in the media and events industry.
