High-profile cast “Special Edition” covers all ranges of supply

The international sweets and snacks industry and their suppliers are meeting up again in Cologne/Germany. ProSweets Cologne trade show is being co-staged this year for the first time as a “Special Edition” from 23 to 25 April together with ISM, the leading international trade fair for sweets and snacks – and the list of exhibitors already provides a foretaste of the forthcoming inspiring event. Due to the one-off postponement of the venue date, ProSweets Cologne – Special Edition is located on a central area in the heart of ISM.

The strong demand to participate in this one-off special format has led to the originally planned area being expanded several times. In this way, more than 120 companies from over 20 countries will be present at the most important trading and communication platform for the supplier sector of the sweets and snacks industry, including both international market leaders and the equally important smaller and medium-sized specialized suppliers. Interested parties will thus once again this year find here a diversified and competent spectrum of offers comprising solutions and equipment for a wide range of subjects across the entire value chain.

At ProSweets Cologne – Special Edition, the visitors will await a wide spectrum of topics, which covers all of the main exhibition sections – from ingredients and semi-finished products as well as production and packaging systems through to operating and auxiliary equipment and food safety.

The majority of the exhibitors come from European countries like Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands and Poland. Yet, countries such as Turkey and the USA are also represented among the exhibitors. The high level of internationality of the Special Edition is furthermore underlined by the two group booths with companies from China. Among others, well-known companies will be represented such as Baker Perkins, Boettger Food Ingredients, Capol, Coppenrath Feingebäck, Dolciaria Gadeschi, Fuji Packaging, GNT Group B.V., Hacos, Handtmann, Live-Tech, Maschinenfabrik Seydelmann, Prefamac Chocolate Machines, Stearinerie Dubois Fils as well as
Tomra Sorting.

The significant increase in the participations from the sweet & snackable ingredients segment is particularly pleasing. In comparison to the previous event, more than double the amount of exhibitors from the sector of raw materials/ingredients/semi-finished goods are represented. Against the backdrop of a stronger consumer demand for sustainable and at the same technologically convincing products, this segment is expanding constantly. This also applies for the coming years and the further development of ProSweets Cologne as the central supplier fair for the sweets and snacks industry.

The event programme which enhances ProSweets Cologne – Special Edition also picks up on the focal topics of the trade fair: Raw Materials & Ingredients and Sweet & Snackable Ingredients. On the one hand, a series of impulse lectures on the “Expert Stage”, covering topics such as sustainability, supply chains and packaging, will be a further source of information. On the other hand, “Guided Tours” entitled “Raw Materials for the Sensory Wow Effect” will take place daily. They highlight the opportunities that arise by implementing special raw materials, but also technological solutions for the production of demanding sensory products. Further lectures on the “Expert Stage” will address issues such as energy efficiency or chocolate technology. The “Expert Stage” additionally encompasses topics from the ISM world.

For the first time, ProSweets Cologne – Special Edition is inviting guests to meet for a “Matchmaking Breakfast” on Tuesday of the trade fair. The aim is to allow producers of sweets and snacks to network with the supplier industry in a relaxed atmosphere and further promote the internal industry dialogue (upon special invitation only). The ProSweets Cologne – Special Edition Lounge offers the ideal setting for this. It is open on all days of the trade fair and offers seating options and a comprehensive food service
selection.

ProSweets Cologne – Special Edition can be found “in the midst of ISM”. It is located on the Central Boulevard on the central visitor axis between the exhibition halls and in the adjacent passage between hall 4 and hall 5. Thus, visitors and exhibitors can benefit even more directly from the close interlinking between the two trade fairs. ISM and ProSweets Cologne not only use facilities such as the entrances and the car parks jointly, the ticketing is also being processed by one online shop so that all tickets are available for both events.
