Fast packaging systems for high-quality chocolate products

On the company’s 50th anniversary in the field of precise and fast packaging machines, the team of Stampac/Leko has come up with some special refinements and will present some interesting novelties at the interpack trade show in Düsseldorf/Germany.

The all-round talent from Stampac/Leko, the Leko-LUP, has been supplemented by an innovative variant. Now, fragile and coated chocolate products with an irregular shape can be packaged in two lanes at a high speed of 550 products per minute. The two-lane infeed makes the packaging process particularly gentle. “At this remarkable speed, this is quite extraordinary,” emphasizes Hans-Bernd Lesch, who played a major role in the development of the system. The experienced mechanical engineer is more or less the father of the Leko-LUP and is particularly pleased with the great success of his development over the years.

“The changeability of the LUP is simply brilliant”, adds Dr Michael Sdahl, Managing Partner of Stampac GmbH. “By constantly coming up with new ideas, our tried-and-tested machine type can be adapted to ever new customer requirements and shines with amazing performance every time.” The new version of the LUP is thus the packaging machine par excellence for coated products such as marzipan or truffle pralines and all organically shaped confectionery. In addition, oval products can also be aligned during transfer – and at the same high speed.

Quite incidentally, but no less interesting, the company will present a thread module for wrapping chocolate Christmas baubles, for example, and simultaneously providing them with a hanging thread. With this additional component for the Leko-LUP, up to 200 products per minute can be wrapped in one lane – making it one of the fastest thread stations on the market, according to the manufacturer.

When it comes to speed at Stampac/Leko, there is one machine type that cannot be missed: the TC/MC series. It now packages products with smooth backsides at a high speed of up to 800 pieces per minute. Different film thicknesses and material types can be combined via two feeders. Sealed or flanged, thin or thick films or environmentally friendly paper bases – the Stampac/Leko team is aware of the high demands of the industry and is constantly developing new high-performance machines.

As a full-service provider, the company has many other interesting system components in its portfolio. Among other things, the depalletizing of confectionery for offline production is a very interesting topic for process optimization.

“In general, it has always been our concern to offer our numerous renowned customers from the confectionery industry not only high-quality processed machines, but also financial added value in the form of high productivity by means of technical solutions,” underlines Marisa Sdahl, Authorised Signatory. “This way of thinking is simply important to us, since at the end of the day, when making a new purchase, the customer always wants to see an increase in efficiency compared to the previous process.”
