The Handtmann Group from Biberach/Germany has acquired machine builder and trading partner Verbufa, based in Amersfoort/The Netherlands. The internationally active company employs around 40 people. Verbufa develops, supplies and implements machine solutions for the food processing industry and sells machines and systems from market-leading machine manufacturers in the food processing sector. Verbufa has been the exclusive Handtmann sales partner in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg for more than 55 years.

Handtmann Maschinenfabrik develops and produces filling and portioning technology as well as digital solutions for food production. Thomas Handtmann, Managing Partner of the family-owned company, says: “The integration of Verbufa into our corporate group is an important strategic building block for an even stronger positioning in international competition, because food processing is undergoing a profound change towards digitalization, globalization and individualization, and thus also towards changing customer needs”.
