Volkmar and Torsten Wywiol, the owners of the Hamburg-based family business Stern Wywiol Group, can look forward to a significant honour: they were named “Family Entrepreneurs of the Year” by the Intes Academy for Family Businesses, a member of the PwC Group, as part of the traditional Entrepreneur Success Forum at Schloss Bensberg/Germany. The renowned prize has been awarded since the year 2004 together with FBN Germany and the association “Die Familienunternehmer” (The Family Entrepreneurs).

Founded in 1980 by Volkmar Wywiol as a one-man business, the Stern Wywiol Group is a true hidden champion and global player. The group specializes in the production of functional additives for food and animal nutrition as well as nutritional supplements and exports their customized products to over 130 countries. With nearly 1,400 employees and 16 offices worldwide, the company today generates annual sales of EUR 520 m.
