Extraction and cutting technology for sustainable production

In the production and packaging of confectionery, it is becoming increasingly important to optimize processes and at the same time pay attention to sustainability. Especially in the areas of packaging and labelling, Artecc solutions are used. This allows to extract empty packaging and packaging residues as well as waste – which arise for example during labelling – in a targeted manner during the ongoing production process, and to cut and collect them if necessary.

With Cut’n Collect and Cut’n Compact, the company produces single- and multi-station solutions for the extraction of packaging and labelling waste, as well as empty packaging. The material is collected in film bags or, if required, highly compressed in compacting units.

As a central extraction solution, Artecc has developed Cut’n Clean for connecting system groups or complete production halls. With a closed disposal system with large containers, this ensures multi-shift production without downtime. In combination with the company’s Arcutt cutting units, a very high efficiency is achieved in the individually developed system concepts.

A compliant implementation of the HACCP guidelines and the associated high level of food safety are important factors for the company. Since it was founded in 2004, it has been designing and processing stainless steel components that meet these requirements. This means that the broken goods or surplus produced during production are not simply disposed of, but are collected with the Artecc system concepts, crushed and thus fed back into the production cycle as part of the recipe, for example for filling or sprinkling products.
