Schubert to present digital packaging machine

Digitalization is opening up new opportunities for companies in the food and beverage industry to network their processes. At Anuga FoodTec in Cologne, exhibitors will be showcasing how the digital transformation can be successfully implemented – and Schubert is no exception. The packaging machine manufacturer from Crailsheim/Germany will be presenting a Lightline Cartonpacker which packs pouches into cartons on site. The cartons are erected in the machine and filled with the pouches. Thanks to the two carton blank magazines, the pouches can be packed into two different types of cartons. A GS.Gate industrial gateway enables secure access to the machine and production data. “What this means is that we can carry out remote maintenance and use the data obtained to increase the machine’s performance,” explains Georg Koutsogiannis, Senior Sales Account Manager at Schubert.

Schubert will also be providing information on the high-profile topic of sustainability at the Anuga FoodTec. For example, visitors will discover how, with support from the experts at Schubert-Consulting, the switch to environmentally friendly packaging solutions can successfully reconcile sustainability and cost-effectiveness. The team will also be on site to answer questions about in-house packaging development.

Another highlight: For the very first time, Schubert Additive Solutions will be exhibiting its new 3D printer developed in-house for high-quality printing of format and spare parts – the Partbox. This system enables users to produce the parts they need directly on site.
