Combining innovation and inspiration

At the ingredients show Fi Europe & Ni 2019 in Paris, experts will discuss both current and future opportunities for the food industry. Events such as the Future of Nutrition Summit and the Fi Conference offer plenty of occasions.

Fi Europe & Ni, to be held in Paris from 3 to 5 December 2019, is not only the most important trade show for food and beverage ingredients, it is also the largest industry platform for information and practical education. Two events will offer the chance to network with the best minds in the industry, explore new market potentials and catch up with the most current industry innovations: the Future of Nutrition Summit and the Fi Conference.

On 2 December, the Future of Nutrition Summit will offer the opportunity to network, engage in debate and be inspired by pioneers from within and beyond the F&B industry. During the exhibition on 3 and 4 December, the Fi Conference agenda will provide a top-class programme exploring cutting-edge innovations and the most current industry solutions. At the two conferences, more than 300 thought leaders and experts from industry, market research and academia will share their knowledge and discuss current topics.

The Future of Nutrition Summit, which will take place the day before the show opens, is aimed at decision makers from R&D, marketing, brand management, retail and public healthcare. The main focus will be on developments that will shape the industry during the next five years and beyond. After “Open Innovation: Reshaping the Food Systems of Tomorrow,” the afternoon will offer attendees the choice between a stream on sustainable food systems and one providing insights into new food technologies.

The Fi Conference will take place during the first two days of the show and is dedicated to tackling current challenges and identifying immediate opportunities for the F&B industry. In the Discovery Theatre on the exhibition floor, keynote presentations, lectures and discussions on clean label, plant-based ingredients, healthy and functional ingredients, as well as
reduction and reformulation, are on the agenda. At the same time, four master classes will concentrate on bread & bakery, confectionery & snacks, dairy, and beverages. The master classes are tackling current challenges and identifying immediate opportunities for the F&B industry.

The master class for bread & bakery deals with topics such as plant-based clean label ingredient solutions for the bakery industry or latest ingredient innovations for improving nutritional quality and freshness of bakery products. Amongst other things, the master class for sweets and snacks deals with the flavour of cocoa and chocolate as well as sustainable choco-late for millennials.

Julien Bonvallet, Fi Global Brand Director, comments: “Visitors have high expectations of a trade show and would like to use their limited time on site as efficiently as possible to meet customers and partners, but also to educate and update themselves. That’s why we are delivering a top-tier programme with highly renowned experts. Increasing numbers of participants from year to year prove that we are on the right track.”
