Bluhm Systeme: electric labelling reduces costs

More and more label dispensers of the newer generation are switching from compressed air to electricity and are thus becoming an energy and cost saver. With the Legi-Air 6000 high-performance labeller, Bluhm Systeme has for the first time introduced a labeller whose applicator is driven not pneumatically but servo-electrically. The advantages of such a drive in the labelling area are obvious: it is less expensive and at the same time it enables higher cycle rates and more accurate labelling. The Legi-Air 6000 labels continuous, different height cartons very fast, enduringly, and precisely. With a label format of DIN A6 and with 500 mm product height difference, it manages 2,250 cycles per hour. With the servo-motor-driven dispensing applicator made of carbon fiber, the system labels up to 50 % faster and with more exact positioning than with a pneumatically operated cylinder. Controlling is cost and space optimized by a microprocessor control. A separate switch cabinet can be spared.•
