Packaging specialist Multivac is taking over the Fritsch group of companies, thus further expanding its portfolio of solutions for the baked goods industry. With the acquisition, the company completes its programme to be able to offer the bakery industry complete production lines from a single source in the future.

Fritsch is a leading manu-facturer of bakery machines with headquarters in Markt Einersheim/Ger-many. The company’s portfolio includes high-performance equipment and pioneering innovations in dough molding and dough processing. The specialist offers the right solution for every size of business – from desktop devices to industrial plants.

In 2018, the family-owned company, founded in 1926 and employing about 600 people, generated sales of around EUR 80 m. In mid-April 2019, Fritsch applied for bankruptcy proceedings at the district court in Würzburg/Germany. The company has subsidiaries in Russia, Poland, the United States and the United Kingdom, and has a worldwide network of sales and service partners to ensure proximity to customers.
