Running together with the ISM, the world’s largest trade fair for confectionery and snacks, the ProSweets Cologne trade fair covers the entire added value chain in the sweets and snacks production sector. This constellation is unique throughout the world; the fair runs from Jan. 31st to Feb. 3rd, 2016 in Cologne. Last year’s ProSweets Cologne welcomed 300 exhibitors. At this year‘s fair exhibitors will again be presenting solutions for economically efficient, high quality production. This includes modular production lines for chocolates and complex pralines as well as packaging solutions and innovative ingredients. In a move aimed at additionally reinforcing the fair’s profile in the snack sector, this year ProSweets Cologne has added the following claim to its title: “International Supplier Fair for the Sweets and Snacks Industry”. The high level of expertise in the snacks sector at the fair is additionally underscored by the fact that some one-third of the products registered for the event by ProSweets Cologne exhibitors are manufactured for the production and packaging of snacks.
The exhibition space has been expanded this year for the area dedicated to confectionery production systems, particularly for chocolate. Many top exhibitors are also back again from the fields of packaging machinery, packaging and packaging materials, as are luminaries in the raw materials and ingredients segment. The Newcomer Area debuted as a big hit in 2015 at the ProSweets Cologne and is set to return again in 2016.
