Dear readers,

By Mit optimistischen Grüßen für das neue Jahr Dr. Jö

Anyone reading the comments on Anuga 2025 will see only one direction: things are looking up. Reports say that with around 8,000 exhibitors from 110 countries and probably over 140,000 trade visitors, it was the biggest Anuga ever. Cologne was crowned the world capital of the food industry. With 94 per cent of exhibitors coming from abroad, Anuga 2025 is setting new standards in terms of internationality and industry significance.

This gives us hope for the International Sweets and Snacks Fair and ProSweets in February 2026, even though another trade fair highlight awaits us next year: interpack, just around the corner in Düsseldorf. We are entering the new year with confidence, as the broader political landscape also appears to be experiencing an upswing.

ProSweets will gain new momentum with ISM Ingredients as a spin-off trade fair in Hall 10.1. The concept of the special show ‘Ingredients of the Future’ will be a highlight that focuses on trends and innovations, from natural sweeteners and plant-based proteins to climate-friendly raw material alternatives a segment that continues to offer considerable potential that needs to be exploited. This new presentation area offers all visitors not only insights into the products of tomorrow, but also inspiration for collaborations and business ideas. Only through innovation can a market survive and expand. For our part, we are doing everything we can to help you exploit this potential. However, we are also looking at traditional segments such as packaging technology and process technology, as well as operating and auxiliary equipment and the topics of food safety and quality management.
