On 27 August 2025, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Switzerland, Bühler was honoured with three awards at the China-Switzerland Business Awards in Beijing. The company received the Innovation Pioneer Award (winner) for its Carat 920 megacasting die-casting solution, the Digital Transformation Award (2nd place) for its Bühler SmarT digital coffee roasting management solution, and the exclusive Legacy Award for sustainable industrial excellence and a 165-year tradition of innovation.

Launched in 2013 by the Swiss-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, the awards are presented every two years for outstanding achievements in bilateral economic relations. This year's ceremony, attended by H.E. Andrea Caroni, President of the Swiss Council of States, and H.E. Jürg Burri, Swiss Ambassador to China, North Korea and Mongolia, was particularly significant in light of the 75th anniversary of relations between China and Switzerland. This award highlights Bühler's outstanding achievements in innovation, research and development, and digital transformation.

Bühler's SmarT digital coffee roasting management solution took second place in the "Digital Transformation Award" category for large companies. The solution offers end-to-end transparency and intelligence thereby improving efficiency, quality and sustainability. Bühler's practical application in the areas of the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence demonstrates the unique advantages of the Chinese market in the large-scale application of technologies.

Bühler's integrated die-casting solution Carat 920 has been honoured with the Innovation Pioneer Award. It enables automotive manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers to cost-effectively produce large and complex structural components made of aluminium or magnesium. With more than 50 megacasting solutions sold worldwide, Bühler is driving innovation in key markets such as China, Europe, America, Japan, and Vietnam.
