The materials used in this process can be easily recycled and composted at home and, unlike many other plastic substitutes, are free of polylactide (PLA). The company is thus making a contribution to reducing plastic waste. The basis is the in-house technology for the production of preformed packaging. Chocal has further developed this for a wide range of products. According to the company, the use of the sustainable, safe and eye-catching moulded packaging goes far beyond chocolate figures, lollies and other food products. Another advantage: The Chocal process demonstrably produces significantly less waste than conventional packaging machines.
