Brabender with innovative concept for viscosity measurement


Despite the lower number of visitors due to the global pandemic, Brabender´s first participation at ProSweets Cologne trade show was successful: “We had many good discussions and learned a lot about the needs of customers in the confectionery and snack industries,” said Adrian Jaspers, Sales Manager Food & Feed Europe. “For one prospective customer, we performed a viscosity measurement of chocolate in our viscometer, the ViscoQuick, directly on site.”

In addition to the ViscoQuick system, the MT-CA moisture analyzer and the TwinLab-F 20/40 twin-screw extruder for product and process development on a laboratory scale, the latest solution was also presented: The new Convimeter II is suitable for inline measurement of the viscosity of, for example, doughs and pastes for bakery and snack products during the production process. Small outliers become visible, so that material and time losses in the ongoing production process can be avoided.
