Packaging machines for high-quality wrapped chocolate products

Stampac develops and manufactures innovative and efficient machine technology in the high-performance class. In addition to the packaging of chocolate hollow figures in preformed aluminum foil, the Leko-LUP eco has recently been launched, a machine based on the classic Leko-LUP that produces twist packaging from ecologically sustainable materials.

When their companies Stampac and Leko merged, Dr Michael Sdahl and Hans-Bernd Lesch combined decades of experience in special machine engineering with visionary ideas and concepts. High performance with outstanding packaging results are not a contradiction for the mechanical engineering specialists from Bavaria – instead they motivate for refined and modern engineering.

“We listen to our customers’ needs and know how valuable production space is,” explains Dr Sdahl. “This is where our vision of a compact inline system with a small footprint came from. It was our strong belief that high speeds, combined with the best packaging quality, in a flexible and customizable system are exactly what our customers need.” Chocolate packaged ecologically in a variety of shapes. This conviction was to prove true, since in recent years two machine series in particular have been in high demand at Stampac: on the one hand, the TC and MC model series for high-quality and fast packaging of chocolate hollow figures in preformed aluminum foil, and on the other hand, the Leko-LUP, which has been tried and tested for years for particularly diverse types of packaging.

“When it comes to chocolate hollow figures such as surprise eggs, bunnies or Santa Clauses, our TC and MC machines are real pros,” emphasizes Dr Sdahl. “Whether sealing or mechanically closing: both techniques can also be realized in one and the same production line. Depending on the function, we use the latest servo and robot technology in combination with maintenance-free cam gears. Our machines are particularly sensitive and reduce reject and breakage rates of fragile articles.” But everyday situations can also be improved with the new machine technology: barcodes or ingredients are clearly legible and easy to scan.

For customers who like to twist or wrap, Stampac has a proven classic in its portfolio: “The Leko-LUP is a versatile packaging machine that has proven itself for years,” Hans-Bernd Lesch explains. “And the new Leko-LUP eco variant impressively shows how future-oriented and flexible this machine type is. Always on the pulse of time.” Marisa Sdahl, who works in the company as an authorized signatory, adds: “No matter what shape a product has: we pack it in a visually appealing way and with sustainable materials. The Leko-LUP eco packs sweet treats in ecological papers and ensures a sustainable experience of indulgence.”

For Stampac, ecology is not just a current trend – it is an attitude towards available resources and how they are handled. With this attitude, the company plans on opening up to new packaging possibilities and offering further high-performance solutions to its many renowned customers in the confectionery industry. For a sustainable future.
