HDM Group represented with a wide range

At ProSweets Cologne 2022, the HDM Group will demonstrate its strengths in cocoa and chocolate processing. The company will show its youngest innovations such as the FRD-2 drum roaster, the HBC twin-shaft conche, the latest version of the “Next Generation” Macintyre Refiner Conche and the latest digital and smart innovations. Systems such as the SDC (Stripe Detection Cockpit) for the detection of roller occupancy (stripe detection) at 5-roll refiners and the new FMC (Flavour Monitoring Cockpit) for online flavour management, for quality control and for monitoring the conching progress are just a few examples of the smart processing of process data for plant and system optimization.

The FRD-2 drum roaster with a batch size of up to 6 t is designed for cocoa nibs for natural or alkalized products. It is available in the “Basic” version with 100 % conductive roasting via the roasting drum surface or in the “Classic” version for convective and conductive roasting.

Double-shaft conches of type HBC, available in sizes 3 t or 6 t, offer an optimized symbiosis of horizontal single- and three-shaft conches. Energy-efficient conching of chocolate masses using two interlocking horizontal agitators sets new standards for high energy consumption and maximized butter savings.

The “Next generation” Macintyre Refiner Conche promises up to 35 % less refining time and energy consumption thanks to improved shaft alignment and frequency-controlled speed control. Production models are available with a batch capacity of 500 kg (RC500i) to 5,000 kg (RC5000Di). Up to 10,000 kg milk couverture per 24 hours at 20 µm fineness are possible (when using an RC5000Di model).
