Schubert paves the way to a more sustainable future

At FachPack trade fair, packaging machine manufacturer Schubert will be presenting not only answers to the development trends surrounding sustainable packaging, but also a wealth of information on its Lightline machine range as well as a flexible TLM packaging machine in action. It will be presented how, with the support of the experts from Schubert-Consulting, the robot-assisted TLM technology and early planning, the changeover to environmentally-friendly packaging solutions can be achieved in such a way that sustainability and cost-effectiveness can be reconciled.

The experts also provide information about in-house packaging development, since optimized packaging has a lasting effect on logistics when more cartons can be transported per pallet. Thanks to Schubert’s modular system, packaging machines can be precisely tailored to customer requirements in terms of sustainability. A Schubert machine can be designed so flexibly that it can process both conventional and recyclable plastic and cardboard packaging.

Live on the exhibition booth, visitors can experience just how individ-ual and flexible Schubert machines are. The company has developed a system consisting of a flow packer and a cartoner for the food manufacturer Ülker, which is used to package chocolate bars. Thanks to the high flexibility of the system, the packages can be packed either into multipacks in tubular bags or into boxes. Despite its dual function, the machine is compact. In addition, the customer benefits from a fast changeover between tubular bag and carton format and a high output of 660 products per minute. The machine can be seen packaging either three bars into a tubular bag multipack or 24 bars into a box.
