Schubert Packaging Systems: Johannes Schubert appointed Managing Director of subsidiary

His father Gerald Schubert served as Managing Director of Schubert Packaging Systems GmbH. Now, the 31-year-old son Johannes Schubert is following in his footsteps. As of 1 July 2021, he will take on the position of Managing Director in a major subsidiary of the Crailsheim-based packaging machine manufacturer.

Johannes Schubert, grandson of company founder Gerhard Schubert, has been working in the family business for many years. Between 2008 and 2011, he trained as an industrial mechanic at the headquarters in Crailsheim. Following his apprenticeship, he worked as a Project Manager in sales and took on responsibility for several major international projects. In Schubert’s North American subsidiary in Charlotte (North Carolina)/USA, he gained additional experience abroad, then returned to his home in Crailsheim after just under two years.

For two years, he was responsible for the development of the Schubert Flowmodul as Product Manager and played a key role in its successful market launch. The highly flexible and multifunctional flow-wrapping machine is used for a wide variety of products: chocolate bars, biscuits, cakes, chocolate figures and even ice cream are securely packaged in a wide range of format sizes and packaging materials.
