DuPont will consolidate its operations by combining its Nutrition & Health and Industrial Biosciences divisions into one unit, in an attempt to accelerate its growth and innovation in the nutrition and bioscience field. Called DuPont Nutrition & Biosciences, the combined division will utilize the complementary expertise and skills of the two units in the areas of food enzyme production, human and animal microbiome science, bioprocess engineering and R&D. The unit registered revenue of USD 6.2 bn in 2018.
The new business will be headquartered in Copenhagen/Denmark, and Matthias Heinzel has been appointed as the president of the new unit. Before the appointment, he had served as the president of DuPont Nutrition & Health division since 2015.
Commenting on the launch of the new unit, Matthias Heinzel said: “Combining the two businesses is a step to further accelerate growth and innovation while better providing customers across our industries with innovative, healthy, safe and sustainable solutions.”
